About BW BestWork

We connect Dutch general contractors with Polish construction specialists — carpenters (timmerman), bricklayers, painters and construction helpers. We provide full administrative support, VCA safety certifications and flexible cooperation models: ZZP (self-employment) or A1 (posting from Poland). One point of contact, full compliance with Dutch labour law, transparent cooperation terms.

Our story

From one welding crew to more than 100 qualified specialists

BW BestWork was founded in 2018 from a simple observation of the market: Dutch construction companies are short of skilled specialists, and Polish tradespeople are looking for a reliable employer offering stable employment, on-time payments and support with the formalities.

We started with one welding crew working on a project in the Port of Rotterdam. Today we work with general contractors across the Netherlands — from the Maasvlakte to Eindhoven, in sectors ranging from steel structures to photovoltaic installations.

The scale has changed — today we manage more than 180 active workers and serve 30 recurring clients. The philosophy has stayed the same: before departure, every worker receives a full set of documents, certifications and information needed to work legally and safely. No exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

What you should know about our agency

How long has BW BestWork been operating on the Dutch market?
BW BestWork has been operating continuously since 2018. We started by placing one welding crew on a project in the Port of Rotterdam; today we work with over 180 active workers across various construction specializations.
What industry certifications does BW BestWork hold?
We hold three key certifications: NEN 4400-1 (a quality standard for Dutch employment agencies, audited annually), SNA-Keurmerk issued by Stichting Normering Arbeid (protects the client against chain liability for tax obligations) and VCU (occupational safety certification for the construction sector). All our workers hold a current VCA Basic or VCA VOL certificate.
In which regions of the Netherlands do you offer work?
We deliver projects across the Netherlands. Main locations include Rotterdam (port and heavy industry), Amsterdam and the metropolitan area, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven. We arrange transport for workers to the construction site.
Do you handle the formalities for the worker?
Yes — full administrative support is a standard part of our cooperation. We help obtain the A1 certificate of social insurance coverage, the Dutch tax identification number BSN, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration for the self-employed, and payroll tax refunds (loonheffing). Every worker receives a full set of documents before starting work in the Netherlands.
Which construction specializations do you cover?
We recruit MIG/MAG/TIG welders (in line with EN ISO 9606-1), scaffolders (Layher systems, VSB certificate), industrial insulators, plumbers and sanitary installers, structural and finishing carpenters, electricians, PV panel installers and general construction workers. In every specialization we maintain an active pool of verified specialists.
What does the cooperation process look like for an employer?
The process consists of four steps: (1) a 15-minute initial call about the project, (2) crew selection from our database and sending the documents for the client’s approval, (3) signing a framework agreement setting out the cooperation terms, (4) the crew starts work on site within 5 working days. Each client is assigned a dedicated project manager as their single point of contact within our organization.
